Repeater news

For the past few years, the SCARS 2M repeater has been plagued by interference problems. Despite the best efforts of our repeater gurus, the gremlins have survived. The SCARS Board of directors agrees that the time has come to investigate a frequency change. The tentative new home for our repeater is 145.29 (-) with a CTCSS tone of 88.5 Hz. This frequency change will NOT take place until April 1st at the earliest. Check the newsletter, the Wednesday or Saturday night nets, or this website for more information!

It seems that many repeater users have recently come to feel that the SCARS repeaters are only for emergency use. Nothing could be farther from the truth! The repeaters are provided for everyone to use in any way, so long as the use is legal under Amateur Radio rules. Please feel free to ragchew and have fun using the NC6SV repeater systems!
